Winter has arrived. This is supposedly the best season but not so friendly for the above-ground water storage tanks. Cold climate and water never make a good combination. In areas with extremely cold climatic conditions, freezing of water tanks is a common problem. To know more about how to prevent your water tanks from freezing in winter, read the blog mentioned below: How To Keep Water Storage Tanks From Freezing In Winter?

Water is the most important ingredient in life. A single day without water is impossible as we simply cannot survive without the same. Water gets a regular supply from the plastic water storage tanks throughout the year. Therefore, regular water tank maintenance is mandatory. Apart from regular cleaning and inspecting a tank, it is also important to keep it clear. In winter, the most common problem is the freezing of water tanks. This happens in mostly hilly areas. But there is a solution to this as well.

In case of smaller tanks and buckets, we experimented something amazing and found its result all the more amazing. Plastic bottles with salt water in it helped keep the water tanks from freezing completely over. The tanks and buckets with bottles froze lesser in comparison with those without any bottles. Also, the plastic tanks froze less in comparison to steel tanks. And the saltwater bottles were still unfrozen. After having tried and tested this multiple times, it can be concluded that it works best for small sized tanks and buckets. However, you can try the same application with large tanks as well and see if the result is the same as smaller ones. You might have to put some more and bigger sized bottles.

This application will work best for feeding birds and animals as well. During the winter season, it is a common problem faced by many of us. Put one or two of these saltwater bottles in the buckets and see the water won’t freeze. Do not deprive these birds and animals of drinking water in winters. After all, they need to quench their thirst in the winter season too. In fact, it is recommended to drink more water during the winter season as we feel less thirsty and end up drinking less water. Keeping yourself hydrated is equally important in the winter season as well. Animals and birds are definitely not an exception here as they are also living beings. Enjoy the Winters and Drink Water!
